Research Assistant intern (60% - 100%)

Zurich / Internship / hybrid

The SNB is responsible for compiling the Swiss balance of payments statistics. To support the Current Account team, we are looking for a Research Assistant. The workplace is located in the center of Zurich. The duration of the internship is 12 months. Start: 1st February 2027 or date to be agreed.

Your mission ##

• Participation in projects and support for the team in its activities for the methodical development of the Swiss current account statistics
• Preparation and analysis of data related to international economic relations and macroeconomic data intended for internal and external use
• Research
• Close collaboration with internal specialists

Your profile ##

• Bachelor's or Master's degree awarded by a university/EPF with a specialization in political economy, statistics, or a related quantitative field
• Knowledge of statistics and econometrics; interest in the issues of international economic relations and economic policy matters
• Quick-wittedness; orderly and reliable work
• In-depth knowledge of programming in scripting languages - R language preferred - or willingness to acquire this knowledge
• High proficiency in French or German as well as in English, both written and spoken
