Zürich, Switzerland | 80-100% What you can contribute <br /> • Verify and inventory the physical stocks of the Agroscope Documentation Service (scientific works, specialized journals, etc.) and perform work with the Alma library management system • Collaborate on various projects of the Documentation Service (repository, access to literature, archiving) • Support the Documentation Service in daily work (for example: responding to orders and requests from researchers) • Identify documents that are precious from a historical point of view and collect and gather documents to be digitized • Undertake travel (working time) to the engagement sites (in particular Liebefeld BE, Posieux FR, Changins VD) <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • Bachelor or Master in information sciences or in history (obtained a maximum of 18 months ago) or equivalent training • Knowledge of library cataloging of physical and electronic collections is an asset • Knowledge of the Alma library management system as well as the swisscovery research platform is an asset • Meticulous, autonomous, committed and persevering way of working • Interest in applied research in the agricultural and food sector • Good knowledge of two official languages and English <br /> In a few words The scientific Documentation Service of Agroscope offers a wide range of services for research in the field of agriculture and food, focusing on electronic resources and advice regarding scientific publication and in the field of the repository for publications as well as on the promotion of Open Science (Open Access and Open Data). In this context, various implementation and verification tasks must be carried out at the different Agroscope sites in collaboration with researchers as well as other internal interlocutors. In order to perform these tasks, we are looking for a university intern having know-how and an interest in library services. This activity allows working in a dynamic team and having an overview of a research institution as well as the federal administration.
