Zürich, Switzerland \| 80-100% This is your contribution <br /> • Cleaning and cataloging of physical holdings of the Agroscope documentation service (scientific books, journals etc.), as required, work in the library system Alma • Assistance in various projects of the documentation service (publication repository, literature access, archive setup etc.) • Support of the scientific documentation service in daily business (e.g. answering orders and inquiries from researchers) • Identification of historically valuable documents as well as collection and compilation of documents for digitization • Business trips (working time) to various sites of operation (especially Liebefeld BE, Posieux FR, Changins VD) <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Science or History (degree completed max. 18 months ago) or equivalent training • Knowledge of library cataloging of physical and electronic holdings is an advantage • Knowledge of the library system Alma as well as the search platform swisscovery is an advantage • Careful, independent, committed and persistent way of working • Interest in applied research in agriculture and food science • Good knowledge of two official languages and English <br /> In a nutshell The scientific documentation service of Agroscope provides a wide range of services for research in agriculture and food science, focusing on electronic resources, support in scientific publishing and in the area of the publication repository, as well as the promotion of Open Science (Open Access and Open Data). In addition, various cleaning tasks in the area of physical holdings arise, which are carried out in cooperation with researchers at the various sites of Agroscope and other internal contact persons. We are looking for a university intern with know-how and interest in library services.
