Are you eager to gain valuable experience in purchasing? Join us as an intern and take an active role in strategic procurement projects across catering, inflight, and regional procurement within the Lufthansa Group (LHG).

Starting date: October 15, 2026

Tasks

Intern will be responsible for a variety of overarching and regional procurement projects, including tenders and the procurement of goods required by SWISS colleagues. Role involves close collaboration with the leadership and members of the procurement team, as well as stakeholders across the LHG.

  • Provide support to the category management teams of SWISS and the Lufthansa Group (LHG) in their ongoing development and daily operations, including Regional Procurement Switzerland, Passenger Experience Procurement, and Logistics Procurement
  • Assist the inflight team with operational activities
  • Participate in or take a leading role in strategic procurement projects within the assigned categories at SWISS and/or LHG levels
  • Manage administrative tasks and support regional procurement activities in Switzerland, including those related to the LX eShop
  • Gain hands-on experience with supply chain best practices and tools, such as source-to-contract and procure-to-pay processes

Requirements

  • Workload Specification: An 80-100% workload is preferred for this position
  • Educational Requirements: HF diploma, Bachelor-s, or Master-s students or graduates in business administration or (industrial) engineering, ideally with a focus on supply chain management, logistics, or IT (HF diploma & Bachelor-s students must have completed at least three semesters)
  • Ability to learn new systems and work consciously, independently, and as a team player
  • Fluent in both English and German, with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced user knowledge of MS Office products
  • Structured and analytical with strong conceptual skills and the ability to think logically
