Zurich, Switzerland \| 80-100% The contribution you can make <br /> • Review and catalog the physical collections of the Agroscope Documentation Service (scientific books, journals, etc.), including activities with the Alma library system • Collaborate on various projects of the Documentation Service (publication archive, access to bibliography, establishment of the archive) • Provide support to the scientific Documentation Service in daily activities (e.g., responding to orders and requests from researchers) • Identify documents of historical value and collect and compile documents for digitization • Carry out business trips (computed as working hours) to various locations (in particular Liebefeld BE, Posieux FR, Changins VD) <br /> What distinguishes you <br /> • Bachelor or master recently completed in information sciences or history (obtained max. 18 months ago) or equivalent training • Knowledge in library cataloging of physical and electronic collections is a preferential qualification • Knowledge of the Alma library system and the swisscovery research platform is a preferential qualification • Ability to work precisely, independently, with commitment and perseverance • Interest in applied research in the agri-food sector • Good knowledge of two official languages and English <br /> In summary The scientific Documentation Service of Agroscope offers a wide range of services for research in the agri-food sector, paying particular attention to electronic resources, support for scientific publication and management of the publication archive, as well as the promotion of Open Science (Open Access and Open Data). In addition, there are various activities to reorganize physical collections, carried out in collaboration with researchers at the different Agroscope sites and with other internal contacts. We are looking for a university intern with skills and interest in library services. This multifaceted activity allows you to work in a dynamic team and to acquire an overview of a research institute and the Federal Administration.
