Medical Student Assistant Surgery Clinical Area B 100% The Department of Surgery consists of 7 clinics: the clinics for Vascular Surgery, Hand & Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery and Urology. We have 200 acute beds, an interdisciplinary intensive care unit, an interdisciplinary emergency station as well as an outpatient center. The Department of Surgery has a center function. All surgical procedures, except for heart operations and organ transplantations, are performed. In the inpatient and outpatient sectors, a total of 10,700 procedures are performed per year. This is how we are communal personal & fair unique progressive Your tasks Do you want to actively support us during 1 to 4 months in our hospital daily routine, participate in rounds and reports, assist in operations and take on your own tasks in the emergency station? You will learn the assessment and treatment of the surgical patient and various manual skills important for surgical daily life During the assignment, you will rotate between the surgical emergency station, vascular surgery, hand & plastic surgery, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, orthopedics and traumatology as well as visceral and thoracic surgery Upon request, a combination with the specialty of Urology is possible Your profile Active female student / active male student of human medicine Female student / male student in the elective year (CH) or in the practical year or female student / male student at the time of the clerkship in the 4th year of study or 2nd clinical year of study Min. 4 weeks internship duration German language skills min.
