Position: Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

Location: Sonceboz-Sombeval and Boncourt, Suisse

Within an Innovation/R&D team, you will actively participate in the design of mechatronic products (actuators, electric motors) as well as the design of test and assembly fixtures.

• Perform 3D modeling of parts and assemblies under SolidWorks.
• Create the associated 2D technical drawings.
• Perform dimension chain calculations to guarantee the precision of assemblies and the control of tolerances.
• Ensure the quality and compliance of technical drawings.
• Ensure the management of CAD data and documents in the Product Data Management (PDM) system.
• Guarantee the proper organization and traceability of technical information.
• Ensure the monitoring of prototype manufacturing in collaboration with the prototyping workshop.
• Adapt and improve designs based on technical feedback from manufacturing.

These activities will contribute to the development of new mechatronic products and to the continuous improvement of tools and means used during the development and prototyping phases.

• Mastery of a CAD software, ideally SolidWorks for 3D design and 2D technical drawing.
• Knowledge of functional dimensioning, notably according to the principles of the ISO 8015 standard.
• Understanding of design rules related to materials and manufacturing processes (cutting, machining, plastic injection, etc.).
• Rigor, organization and ability to work in a team.
• Technical curiosity and a taste for industrial product design.
• Engineering student in the final year of training (Master's level or equivalent), with a specialization in mechanics or mechatronics.
