In the recycling yard "Chammerholz" you experience social work where it happens directly: in the middle of the operation, in direct contact with people, materials, customers and resources. You lend a hand, accompany people in the second labor market and gain a solid insight into social pedagogy, social work and work pedagogy. This internship is varied, lively and meaningful. At the same time, it is important to know: the work in the recycling yard is physical. You are outside and inside, moving goods, helping with sorting, disposal and reuse, and are part of a team that gets to work every day. Key data of the internship ### • The companies of the Tosam Foundation combine social work, social pedagogy and practical work integration. • The working hours are 80 to 100%. The salary is CHF 2'050 per month at 100%. • Internship placements are possible from 6 months to 1 year. The next internship start is from August 1st or by agreement. • Willingness to work on Saturdays is required. Who we are ### WinWin Herisau operates the public disposal site of the municipality. What is still usable is given a second chance if possible and is sold in the second-hand shops. In this way, Tosam combines ecological responsibility with social impact. Resources are spared, objects are reused and people in challenging life situations are given a chance to participate in working life. We support people in different life situations to stabilize their daily lives, develop skills and gain new perspectives. Our guiding principle "Appreciate - Create value" is very concrete here: we pay attention to people, resources and what can be created from them. Social work for Tosam does not mean "just" sitting together, talking and reflecting. It happens in a structured way, with the necessary infrastructure and in the middle of the common working day. People are directly accompanied in the operation, in their tasks and in their development processes. To achieve this, we work closely with referring agencies such as RAV, social welfare offices, IV and guardians. What you can expect and how we support you ### • You will be quickly integrated into the daily work of an experienced team and accompanied by a practice trainer. • You will receive a structured introduction to the individual areas of work and get to know the recycling operation step by step. • You will participate in meetings, practice discussions and other exchange forums. • You will actively deal with different life situations, social insurances and illnesses. • Depending on your personal resources and skills, you will be assigned to different areas of work. Your tasks ### • Accompaniment and support of people in the second labor market • Administrative work in the Social Office (KIS), journal maintenance IBB • Participation in site discussions and meetings • Cooperation in the operation in the recycling/disposal area • Cooperation in projects and events What we expect from you ### • You have completed initial training and/or professional experience. • You have understanding and empathy for people in challenging life situations. • You have a positive attitude towards work and enjoy working in a team. • You are physically and mentally resilient. • You are willing to take on responsibility. • You are willing to work on Saturdays. • You have PC user skills.
