Job Description Internship start: 1st February 20277 Duration: 6 months Within the Research team, your main mission will be to define design guidelines to optimize resistance to accidental shocks of watches. The watch head FEM model will allow for investigating and optimizing concepts with the aim of ensuring shock compliance. These investigations will range from the casing (absorbent architecture, shapes, materials, ...) to the movement (movement/casing fixations, robust bridge architecture, ...) In this context, you will be in charge of: * Evaluating parameters influencing acceleration * Searching for innovative solutions to dampen shocks through dynamic FEM simulations * Implementing new guidelines on a prototype in terms of construction * Performing pendulum-impact tests and verifying the correlation of the FEM model Qualifications * Currently pursuing a Master's degree, you are attracted to the world of watchmaking * You are following a specialization in numerical simulation of structures * You are proficient in LS-DYNA (explicit) and are comfortable with CAD software (ideally Inventor) * Ideally, you have knowledge in Python or Matlab * You are proficient in French and have good knowledge of English * Attentive, proactive and rigorous, you possess excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy teamwork Additional Information We look forward to receiving your application file, which we will process as soon as possible.
