Your working environment

With its ten departments and over 2'400 employees, the Departement Volkswirtschaft und Inneres fulfills important tasks of the police, law enforcement, penal enforcement, migration and integration, municipal supervision and the economy. The Generalsekretariat provides the central services for the Departement and is the interface to the overall administration.

We are committed to road safety and environmental protection at the Strassenverkehrsamt (https://www.ag.ch/de/verwaltung/dvi/strassenverkehr). We provide diverse services for the testing and licensing of persons, vehicles and ships.

The Sektion Administrativmassnahmen ensures the enforcement of road traffic law with diverse official measures and thus makes an important contribution to road safety. Depending on the individual case, warnings, temporary and permanent driving license revocations, driving aptitude assessments, traffic instruction and other measures regarding the issuance and revocation of driving licenses are ordered. The administrative authority is fundamentally free in the determination of facts as well as in the legal assessment of fault and danger.
