The SAJV is looking for an
Intern 50% Communication
starting 1 February 2027 or by arrangement

Internship duration: six months, with the possibility of extension (maximum 12 months)

Your tasks
With your work, you will support the SAJV in making youth organizations in Switzerland visible and strengthening the political and social participation of young people. As a Communication Intern, you will work closely with the Head of Communication and receive a versatile insight into the communication work of a national NPO. You can contribute in the following areas, among others:

• Content & Communication: You write newsletters, project texts and all kinds of captions, manage our social media channels and create multimedia content
• Campaigns & Storytelling: You help develop communication measures and campaigns and assist in conveying complex topics in an understandable and target-group-oriented manner.
• Editorial: You undertake short proofreadings, prepare (print) products and contribute your perspective to communication strategies.
• Media & Public: You monitor the media landscape, research topics, keep databases up to date and occasionally attend events for photo and video recordings.

Depending on your competencies and what you are interested in, further tasks are also possible.

Your profile

• You are studying Communication, Multimedia Production, Journalism or something similar - or have practical experience in this field.
• You have a sense for good content, language and visual communication and like to try out different formats.
• You enjoy working on different topics simultaneously, keep an overview and contribute your own ideas.
• Your German or French skills are top-notch, and you feel confident in the respective other language (at least B2). Italian is a plus.
• Youth organizations, youth participation and Swiss politics interest you. Prior knowledge is welcome, but not a must.
• Experience with newsletter tools, graphic programs or CMS is a bonus. If you do not know them yet, but feel comfortable with digital tools, you will learn them with us.
• You work independently, organized and pragmatically and like to lend a hand in the daily life of our NPO.

We offer
SAJV offers you an internship salary of CHF 2-400.- (100 %) with a Bachelor's degree or CHF 3-500.- (100 %) with a Master's degree. In addition, there are good employment conditions, flexible working hours and a versatile, exciting activity in a young and dynamic team. With us, you can contribute and actively implement your own ideas. At the same time, you will receive a comprehensive insight into the various areas of communication surrounding youth organizations and youth promotion. Your place of work is Liebefeld near Bern.
