Your working environment

The population is at the center of the activities of the Department of Health and Social Affairs. We work sustainably and purposefully for the security of their living areas.
The Cantonal Social Service is responsible for public social assistance, asylum and refugee affairs, as well as victim counseling and victim support. It is the appellate authority in the area of social assistance and supports the municipalities in the implementation of their family and age policies. In doing so, we work closely with other administrative offices, the municipalities, other cantons, the Confederation and third-party organizations.
