The Data Protection Officer serves as an independent supervisory authority for this purpose. They supervise the data processing of the cantonal administration, the municipalities, and the other authorities and public institutions in the Canton of Zürich. Together with their team, they advise public bodies, carry out controls, and inform the population about data protection issues and topics regarding the protection of privacy.

For our legal team, we are looking for a female legal intern or a male legal intern starting February 1, 2027, or by arrangement, limited to one year.

Your tasks ###

You advise public bodies and private individuals, assess data protection-relevant decrees, projects, and reports, create publications (web articles), and participate in topic-specific projects. You independently carry out legal clarifications in various areas of law and are the contact person within the supervisory authority for a specific thematic area (e.g., video surveillance).

What you bring ###

You have a completed university degree in law and are interested in data protection, informatics, and information security. You feel comfortable with public law and are fascinated by digitalization topics. You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary environment, are communicative, service-oriented, and responsible.
