But if you confuse that with bureaucratic, "official-like," and boring, we will lodge an objection. The Law and Coordination department of the Steuerverwaltung des Kantons Bern offers lawyers (MLaw) a 6-month internship. According to Art. 4 Para. 2 of the Ordinance on the Bar Examination (APV), this internship is creditable as an administrative internship.

Your tasks

• Independent processing of requests for restoration of deadlines, revision, and correction
• Clarification of legal questions in connection with the assessment and collection of taxes (especially tax law including tax criminal law, general administrative law as well as debt collection and bankruptcy law)
• Support in tax justice proceedings before the Steuerrekurskommission, the Verwaltungsgericht, and the Bundesgericht
• Further development of specialist information of the Steuerverwaltung
• Participation in meetings and discussions

Your profile

• You have a completed law degree (MLaw); initial legal internship experience is an advantage
• You have an interest in tax law, administrative law, and the willingness to further educate yourself in tax law
• You are analytical, possess networked thinking, and have a confident and audience-appropriate writing style
• You enjoy showing commitment, flexibility, and teamwork
• Good knowledge of the French language in speaking and writing
