Do you want to understand how a company plans, prioritizes, and steers its strategic investments in the field of innovation? In the Project Portfolio Steering trainee program, you will gain a unique insight into company-wide total portfolio management. You will work at the interface of strategy, project portfolio management, business intelligence, and sales steering, and support the Head of Project Portfolio Steering / Total Portfolio Management in day-to-day operations as well as in strategic issues. In doing so, you will learn how data-based decision-making foundations are created and how investments are steered based on impact, priorities, resources, and corporate objectives.

What you can achieve

• You support the preparation of management, portfolio, and steering committees as well as the creation of presentations, analyses, and decision-making foundations
• You actively work on topics such as portfolio controlling, portfolio data hub, drumbeat planning, impact steering, and portfolio management
• You analyze data, further develop reports and dashboards, and support deriving understandable management insights from data
• You independently take on conceptual and organizational special tasks for the Head of Project Portfolio Steering / Total Portfolio Management
• You receive the opportunity to involve yourself in depth according to your interests in topics such as business intelligence, portfolio analytics, impact measurement, or strategic portfolio steering

What you bring with you

• Interest in project portfolio management, business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, and data-based decision-making processes
• Initial experience with Power BI, SQL, Excel, Python, or similar analysis and visualization tools is an advantage
• Analytical thinking skills, conceptual strength, and pleasure in preparing complex contexts in an understandable way
• Curiosity about strategy, portfolio, and corporate steering as well as cooperation with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Very good German skills; further languages are an advantage
