Pre-internship open youth work 60% (option for an apprenticeship position from summer 2027)

The Verein Jugendarbeit Entfelden - Muhen ( www.jaem.ch ) conducts open youth work in the municipalities of Oberentfelden, Unterentfelden and Muhen. In addition to the two youth centers, we also operate mobile and outreach youth work and work strongly networked with various partners. Furthermore, we are part of the Verein Jugendarbeit Region Aarau ( www.ja-ra.ch ).

From October 2026 to March 2027, we are offering an exciting, well-supervised pre-internship position to gain initial insights into open youth work in the field of Social Work / Sociocultural Animation / Social Pedagogy. The employment at a workload of 60% is limited to 6 months (approximately 600 working hours).

Following this, there is the option for a study-accompanying apprenticeship position from summer 2027.

Start if possible from 1. October 2026 - contract end 31. March 2027

Our requirements:

• Joy in establishing new contacts with adolescents and young adults
• Willingness for flexible work arrangements and especially for evening and weekend shifts (main working hours Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and about once per month Saturday afternoons and evenings)
• Open, cheerful and constructive communication style
• Interest in youth-relevant topics and a healthy ability to assert oneself

Your areas of responsibility:

• Collaboration in the youth centers as well as in mobile and outreach youth work
• Support as a contact person for young people, including in relationship building and relationship maintenance
• Development of individual offers for youth center work as well as collaboration in projects
• Professional, organizational and administrative work
