Chemical Internship for 6-12 months (50%-100%)

Chemodex AG is a family-run company with short decision-making paths and a personal working atmosphere, specializing in the production and distribution of specialty chemicals, with a particular focus on fluorescent dyes as well as the procurement and customer-specific synthesis of complex organic substances.

At our location in St. Gallen (CH), we are offering an exciting internship in the field of chemistry and practical implementation, effective immediately. From the start, you will gain insight into versatile tasks surrounding chemical syntheses, laboratory processes and Quality Control (QC) and will quickly familiarize yourself with demanding topics. In doing so, you will gather valuable practical experience in an international laboratory environment as well as in close cooperation with other team members in the office.

Your tasks
🧪 Development and execution of syntheses
🔎 Research in scientific databases (e.g., SciFinder, Reaxys etc.)
📊 Evaluation and interpretation of NMR data (MestreNova), fluorescence spectroscopy (HORIBA Duetta) as well as operation of HPLC systems (UltiMate 3000) incl. method development and measurements
🧬 Assistance in the identification of new products and product series as well as compilation of relevant product characteristic data

Your profile
🎓 Ongoing or completed studies in chemistry or a related field of study
🌍 Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing
🧠 Quick comprehension and openness towards new topics
🚀 High degree of initiative and independent way of working
💻 Good IT skills (Word, Excel); knowledge of Chromeleon and MestreNova is an advantage
